After another hot, dry and smoke-filled summer, climate change clearly is no longer a matter of future speculation. It’s happening now. And now is the time to rise up for climate solutions.
350 Glacier invites the public to add your voice at a community rally on Saturday, September 8, 10 a.m. at Depot Park in Kalispell. Individuals and families are encouraged to bring a sign asking local, state and national leaders to stop dithering and commit to building a 100% clean energy economy.
The Kalispell rally is one of thousands of rallies organized in cities and towns around the world to demand our leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us. The global day of action is coordinated by 350.org, a non-governmental organization that is building the global grassroots climate movement.
350 Glacier is one of hundreds of local 350 affiliates across the United States. It was founded to inspire and mobilize our Glacier regional communities to advocate for a stable climate for all living things. 350 was named after 350 parts per million – the safe concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
