Join us April 29 on the lawn outside Lake McDonald Lodge at 11:30 a.m. to participate in a national day of solidarity to demand  action on climate change.

Glacier National Park is in the crosshairs of climate change. Global warming is accelerating, the glaciers are melting, and the future of our planet and the safety of our communities are at stake.

The next generation will carry the costs of climate change and they deserve a voice! Join us as we rally in solidarity withpcm2017-almasheppardmatsuo-8_5x11-general-english the People’s Climate Movement and demand action on climate change.

Note: Glacier National Park has issued a special use permit for this event with some restrictions.  Please don’t bring food  to the rally area. Don’t feed the bears. Amplification is not allowed.  So instead of formal speakers, we plan to gather in circle(s) to provide an opportunity for everyone to briefly share a few words about why you’re concerned about climate change or what you’re doing about it. Musicians are invited to bring non-amplified instruments.

Following the rally, you may choose to walk or bicycle on the Going to the Sun Road to celebrate spring in the park. We’d like to document the “Bike Brigade for Climate Action” when everyone departs the Lodge. Bring homemade signs or click here for printable posters! In case of inclement weather, we will post a notice on and our Facebook event page that the rally will take place instead on the sidewalk alongside Depot Park in Kalipsell.

Please RSVP on our home page or Facebook event page so we have an idea of attendance. If a large number of people plan to attend, we may ask people to meet at the Apgar Transit Center to carpool.
