Emma Goldman once famously said, “If I can’t dance, I don’t want to be part of your revolution.” As a leading political activist 100 years ago, Goldman’s fight was different than the energy revolution that’s happening today. But her point remains valid: Let’s all work together to protect the planet from climate chaos. But let’s also take a pause for the cause and have a good old-fashioned dance party!
Join the New Wave Time Trippers on Friday, November 17 for the Save Our Glaciers Gala at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. The band formerly known as 1985 is a local favorite due to their rocking synchronicity in sound, lights and action.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for this family-friendly dance party, which also features the Birdland Jazz Combo. The program will include special guests, a raffle, prizes, beer, a pie auction and more.
Black and white attire is encouraged. Creative styles will be appreciated, but Montana formal (i.e. jeans) is always acceptable.
Admission is $12 per person. Kids under 12 are free.
Net proceeds after expenses will benefit the Whitefish School District’s Center for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship.
Glacier Climate Action is the organizing sponsor for this event. Partners and co-sponsors include:
